nice post, that sounds like a good plugin, making a site faster to load can only help with traffic.

Hello,
Thanks for sharing your tip.

In fact, there is a free software called GIMP that can do the job of Photoshop. I use it frequently to reduce the image size before uploading to my Blog.

GIMP is an open source software used by many Internet Marketers. You can download it from => http://www.gimp.org

Cheers,

I suppose it depends on the type of images you use. I would store large amounts of high resolution images on an external server / service (like Google Picasa) and I would use a plugin like Smush.it for .gif and other images that don’t consume to mutch band width.

thanks for this geld. what would be better? outsourcing the process and traffic, or keeping it in your own hands?

Yes heard of it before does seem to work very nice. @Rob, it stores the files on your own server.

Hey, they sounds like a pretty cool concept for an add-on. Does the compressed file get stored on your server or theirs?
