How To Promote Your Posts in 10 Minutes to 1 Mio People
Getting a lot of traffic even if your content is first class, can be quite tricky if nobody knows your website. Learn how to get known to a huge audience within 10 minutes by promoting your posts to more than 30 of well visited websites. This is a totally free kind of marketing. Enjoy!
As others tried to collect some sites to promote your posts, we found it a bit confusing to check so many different collections and created our own list. By the way, it is a little secret of our success, which got under the top 100.000 alexa ranking during the last days.
How to start
The method we are using is to tease our content at communities or user link sections of other great known and visited websites. We will need all times the same information and it will go much faster, if we prepare a list of the post details with:
- post title (max. 10 words),
- post description (max. 20 words),
- post url,
- tags for the post and
- a teaser image on your desktop.
Be advised not to use spammy words, since most of the sites will kick your news out and your chance is lost. If a registration is required or some other anti-spam question is to answer, your post will arrive for sure, so don’t bother the long way.
Sites to promote your post
These are all great sites, but we have listed them in the order we think they succeeded the best for us. It might not fit for you, but we would love to hear your own experiences. Just leave a comment!

I love posts like this. Noupe.com (listed in this post) gave me quite a few hits when I submitted a couple of tutorials/articles. There are some design link sites in this post that I’m not familiar with, so thanks a bunch!

I’m getting a bit tired of CSS Globe to be honest. I’m always submitting useful stuff and never getting anything showcased, it was at the point I was convinced there was something wrong with my account so I emailed explaining the (potential) problems and no reply. I’ll be looking through your suggestions methinks.

I think this would be an interesting discussion to throw around the community -
personally I would probably research it out first to see who posted first - but in many cases - people won’t do that and just go with the “bigger” site. Your absolutely right.
I believe on the other hand that chances are it was the smaller site and they copied knowing damn right your article was a good one to gain readers.

@adelle: yeah, an article how to deal with stolen content. there are many out there on freelancing blogs, but it is always an interesting topic. I understand you, but it seems to be theory. the problem is when the post is not unique enough, it is easy to copy. in our case, it was a quick post for some new vectors. a big site “got inspired” of that post 3 hours after we published it, and made EXACTLY the same post. who would you believe, the bigger or the smaller site?

Good question, thus far I haven’t really seen anyone “steal” my content/posts, seen a lot of similar ones, but who hasn’t, I think it’s all in the delivery of the article and what you bring to the discussion even if they are similar. I would like to hear others opinions on their content being stolen - may be a good post to work on! > It’s all yours
If the blog or site (big or small) has great content, visitors will keep coming back I think & the community seems to look out for each other - if someone steals your content, you will probably know within 10 minutes via twitter

@Assault: I dont really get wat QBN is. Have your any experience with it?
@NaldzGraphics: You are welcome. When preparing the list and having registered everywhere, it gets pretty easy in that time frame, because most sites use the same form field names and you can just click on the field and choose the value you desire and do not need to get back to your list and copy & paste it again. Maybe we should make a ranking: who is the fastest submitter.
@adelle: Since some famous sites start to steal our content, we think we must go offensive and submitt the content as fast as possible so that nobody else can claim it. What are your experiences with it?

This is a great list and thanks for adding fuelyourcreativity.com to it! I notice for the most part I get high quality news links submitted to the site and I hope that keeps up! I submit my posts/articles to 5-6 of these sites, but after reading this post, I’m going to have to add a few more!

Not sure I saw QBN on there, but the public broadcast on QBN is a great place to post quality material.
